We know organising a camp can be overwhelming, which is why our custom-built MYCYC portal does the heavy lifting for you. Easily manage dietary needs, room allocations, schedules, and communications in one place, so you can focus on your group, not the paperwork.

Do you cater to specialist group camps?

Absolutely! We host various groups with tailored catering options, and expert support, we ensure your group has a comfortable, accessible, and memorable stay.

How does CYC ensure safety and supervision for large groups?

Safety is our top priority. Each camp is fully compliant with risk management standards, and all necessary documentation is available in your portal. Plus, your dedicated camp coordinator works closely with specialists, from food consultants to activity staff, to ensure a safe and well-organised experience for everyone.

What kind of support can I expect during the planning process?

You’re never on your own! In addition to your dedicated booking officer, your camp coordinator will be in direct contact with food consultants and program coordinators, ensuring every detail is handled with expertise and care. We’ll be with you every step of the way.

How does CYC accommodate dietary and medical needs?

Our MYCYC portal makes managing dietary restrictions, medical requirements, and meal planning simple. With real-time access, you can update guest information, communicate directly with our kitchen team, and ensure every participant’s needs are met—seamlessly and stress-free.

How does CYC balance affordability with quality?

We believe a great camp experience shouldn’t break the budget. Our all-inclusive packages provide high-quality facilities, expert-led activities, and full catering at a cost-effective rate. With experience managing large group logistics, we maximise value while keeping pricing fair and transparent.

What types of accommodations and facilities are available?

Our campsites are designed for comfort, convenience, and adventure, fully catered meals, and a range of onsite activities—so everything you need is in one place. Our site is located in a beautiful natural setting in southern Tasmania, providing the perfect backdrop for both relaxation and team-building.

We encourage camp coordinators to visit and explore the facilities firsthand, ensuring the space meets your group’s needs and giving you peace of mind before your camp begins.

Will our group receive religious instruction while at camp?

CYC is a Christian organisation, and our core ministry focuses on faith-based Holiday Camps during school holidays. However, when hosting schools, corporate retreats, sports teams, or special interest groups, we are fully respectful of different beliefs and do not preach or provide religious instruction unless specifically requested by the group.

Our focus for all groups is to provide exceptional camp experiences in a welcoming and inclusive environment, ensuring that everyone enjoys their time without pressure or expectations around faith. If you have any concerns, we encourage an open conversation to tailor your camp experience to suit your group’s needs.

Do you provide linen?

Our beds have mattress protectors, we encourage guests to bring their own pillows and sleeping
bags. Linen can be provided at an additional cost.

Is the rec hall, playground and games room included in our booking? When can I use them?

These areas will be available for you thought out your stay. As we often have multiple groups on site
these spaces will be allocated based on needs of all guests.

How many beds onsite? How is accommodation allocated for each booking?

We have 100 beds with room for tents and additional accommodation if require.

What meals / snacks do you provide?

As a fully catered site we provide 3 main meals as well as morning / afternoon tea and supper. These
can be enjoyed onsite or packed for you to take on your daily adventures. We also offer a self-
catered option.

What is required for a self-catered group?

Food handling certificate for those preparing and serving food. These can be done online free of
charge. We provide a commercial kitchen (including outdoor BBQ), fridge / freezer and access to our
cooking / serving utensils.

What diets can you accommodate?

We accommodated for a wide range of diets including: Anaphylactic, Vegan, Celiac, Halal, and other
intolerances.

What AV equipment do you have?

The Bay Room has a projector and sound equipment (including 2 microphones). We also have a
portable 55-inch portable TV.

Are activities an extra charge?

Yes, we offer a large range of activities that are charged depending on the number of Blue Lagoon
staff required and their qualification level.

Will I be sharing the site?

You will never share accommodation or showering facilities with other groups. We can
accommodate up 3 groups on site. When deciding what groups to host at the same time we take
into consideration: group type / size, age of guest and many other factors. We make an effort to
ensure group are kept septate.

How far is it to the beach?

A family friendly beach is only 170 m from our back gate. “Park Beach” the local surf beach is 800 m
which also offers cafes.

Do we have to bring our own first aid?

Yes, each group is responsible for their own first aid while on site.

Do you need additional adult supervision during BL staff led activities?

Blue Lagoon staff are qualified to run out activity’s safety. Groups need to provide a responsible
adult for group management non-activity related support.

Do you have any extra resources we can use? (TV, sound equipment, whiteboard)

Yes, let us know what you need and we will do our best to provide it for you.

How many cars fit in the car park?

25 cars fit in our top carpark. Addition parking can be provided if needed.
